Project Experience:

Miami International Airport North Terminal Development Complex, Miami, FL - Interior Design
Consultant: Assisted with the selection and specification of new standard interior finishes for this vast
airport terminal. Tasks included sampling, testing and the review of mock-up installations for: flooring,
wall finishes, ceiling materials, toilet partitions and glazing. Included were reviews of signage and termi-
nal seating, 2002-2005.

Miami International Airport NTD Central Market Place Retail Master Plan, Miami, FL - Interior De-
signer: Developed an integrated kiosk style master plan for an underserved area of the airport terminal,
which is approximately 570 linear feet. This retail design provides vendor services for passengers waiting
in hold rooms at gates 26 through 29.

Jackson Memorial Hospital North, Miami, FL - Interior Designer and project manager: of the renova-
tion of 10 elevator cabs; to make them clean, bright, contemporary & uniform. These 10 elevators, in
five separate banks, are spread throughout a multi-building hospital complex. Three different elevator
companies had been involved in the original construction. A tailored, modular scheme was applied to
these different size & shape cabs. All materials and lighting were chosen for durability and ease of main-
tenance; and for compliance to current ADA and elevator codes. Phasing of construction was extremely
important both to keep within ACHA requirements and the pressing needs of a fully operational hospital.
The project cost was $1,223,500 and completion in January of 2009.

Jackson Memorial Hospital West Wing Lobby Renovation, Miami, FL - Interior Designer and project
manager: of major interior renovation of the main lobby of a county public hospital. The greatest chal-
lenge was to forge a cohesive space from the disparate connections of three separate buildings built in
three separate eras - the 1950's, the 1970's and the late 1980's The conjoined space has three different
structural systems and three different slab to slab heights. The phasing of construction was paramount.
Satisfying ACHA requirements, security needs, the ongoing administrative and patient care functions, all
the while providing convenient public access, required a focused, yet flexible, project team, led by our
project managers and including a variety of hospital staff and a knowledgeable contractor. Finishes and
furnishings were selected for ease of maintenance and used in planes of clear color and texture. The
resulting space is contemporary, open and functional. The project consisted of 3250 SF, cost of $2.3 mil-
lion and completion in January of 2009.

Jackson ADA Compliance, Miami, FL - Interior Designer and project manager: Lorraine was tasked to
help Jackson respond to legal action taken for non-compliance throughout the entire Jackson Campus,
action involved over 350 citations. Lorraine inspected and reviewed, made recomendations to bring facili-
ties into compliance. Recomendations included design sketches which suggested solutions as well as
ongoing inspections of work as cornpleted. Participated in the physical walk-through with plaintiff's and
hospital's representatives to review the work done.
