<br />interior construction documents, finish specifications and the lay-out and purchase specifications for fur-
<br />niture and furnishings. With the repositioning of their ships, Regal Cruises occupied a newly constructed
<br />"shell" space at Port Manatee on Florida's Gulf coast.

<br />South Dade Regional Library, Perrine, FL - Interior Designer: Complete interior design services from
<br />programming through, schematic design, design development and the production of construction docu-
<br />ments; specification, purchasing and supervision of installation of all FF&E were also included. South
<br />Dade Regional Library was the first of a series of regional libraries to be built, each relating to smaller
<br />branch libraries. Because it was the first, this project included an in depth phase of program planning that
<br />involved research and close work with library personnel. The goals were to create more than a traditional
<br />library but, also, a community center that would keep up with the dynamics of a changing society. The
<br />interior design contract was tied to the architectural contract and began with this programming {research
<br />stage and continued through the schematic phase and on through the production of complete architec-
<br />tural and interior design contract documents. Thus the interior design services informed the full scope of
<br />interior architecture from space planning, to detailing, to the specification of finish materials. The docu-
<br />ments also included writing the first technical specifications manual ever produced for bid of furniture and
<br />furnishings on a Dade County project. Additionally, provided project management services that spanned
<br />the bid process, selection of interior contractor, installation, inspection and continued through post oc-
<br />cupancy review. Construction cost $6,800.00,20,000 SF completed fall of 1976.*
