This new facility will replace a 1960's <br />era building that had become functionally obsolete and will provide community gathering spaces, a library, an aquatic center and <br />outdoor recreation amenities for the Town. The completed new community center floats a raised second floor over the smaller <br />ground floor uses to allow views through to the ocean beyond; the architectural palette of smooth stucco, geometric sun-screening <br />devices and glass mosaic tile becomes a contemporary reinterpretation of the 1950's architectural style that is seen in both the <br />commercial and residential architecture of the community. <br /> <br />Project Cost: $5 million <br /> <br /> <br />25.
