F. EXAMPLE PROJECTS WHICH BEST IllUSTRATE PROPOSED TEAM'S
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS CONTRACT
(Present as many projects as requested by the agency, or 10 projects, if not specified.
Complete one Section F for each project.)

D. EXAMPLE PROJECT KEY NUMBER: 1

E. TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State): State School YYY.1 (A New High School) Miami, FL

F. YEAR COMPLETED - PROFESSIONAL SERVICES: 2007

G. YEAR COMPLETED - CONSTRUCTION (If applicable): 2009
23a. PROJECT OWNER'S INFORMATION - PROJECT OWNER: Miami-Dade County Public Schools
23b. PROJECT OWNER'S INFORMATION - POINT OF CONTACT NAME: Rolando Pardo

23c. PROJECT OWNER'S INFORMATION - POINT OF CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBER: 305-995-4837

24. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost):

Silva Architects provided complete AlE services on this project. The project is a new 178,000 gsf high school facility in Miami, Florida.
The budget is $35 million, and the project GMP bid was under budget.
This project is pursuing LEED for Schools Silver certification (the first public school in Miami-Dade County to pursue LEED certification of any type),
This project showcases Silva Architects as taking the initiative in a project pursuing LEED certification.
This project also shows how Silva Architects can work in an occupied facility. The State School YYY-1 facility immediately abuts an occupied
school (Macarthur HS) in Kendall Indian Hammocks Park. State School YYY-1 was a phased project due to requirements that the
Macarthur students keep use of two buildings that will eventually be taken over and remodeled as part of the YYY-1 project. Balancing
The existing users of the Macarthur facility, Parks users, and construction requirements of YYY-1 are all qualities that are required
for the firm chosen for this project.
The complete gutting interior remodeling of an existing Science building on the campus and subsequent conversion to new PE
Lockers for YYY-1 (keeping in mind LEED requirements) is also excellent experience as it relates to the various projects to be completed
in a typical continuing services contract.

25.
