Quality Control Process A significant indicator of Borges + Associates Team's past performance is our excellent record of cost control on contracts. Our past performance with respect to cost control, schedule, and quality is demonstrated in part by our frequent and consistent history of repeat performance for projects for regional and national clients. We believe that consuttant teams with the right mix of expertise produce results that save clients money in construction costs, change orders, and maintenance. The Borges + Associates Team provides experience in planning, design, and construction, as well as local knowledge and contacts that benefit our clients WITh regard to cost control. This attitude, experience, and knowledge, combined with our financial management system, ensure a continued record of contract cost control. To support successful delivery of quality projects on time and within budget, our team requires project team members to comply with the quality assurance/quality control (QAlQC) procedures provided in our Quality Control and Assurance Plan (QCAP). Project managers are required to implement appropriate QC procedures, commensurate with the size, complexity, intricacy, and special conditions of each project. On a periodic basis, a corporate-level audit is conducted on major projects to confirm compliance with QCAP. QAlQC procedures will include: · Appointment of a QA manager and QC manager(s). · Establishment of appropriate workflow processes and documentation of management requirements, including computer automation of work and document-flow processes when feasible. · Development of QC plans (QCP) appropriate to the project; QA manager assures Quality Control Procedures are adequate, implemented properly, and achieving desired results. · Development of technical and design standards as appropriate. · QA and QCPs that incorporate client-required procedures and reviews. · Process and technical QC checklists with sign-offs required by original designers and QC reviewers. · In-process partial or full technical QC reviews by associate staff, or review by the QC manager who has authority to stop the design process if a fatal flaw is identified. · Application of 3-D and 4-D (Le., time-dependent) computerized visualizations to identify internal (e.g., structural) component incompatibilities and anomalies, including the use of BIM. · Peer and/or specialized technical reviews. · Value engineering, buildability, and constructability reviews.
