C3TS was called to undertake this "expanded maintenance project" based on our past experience in this particular project type for the Miami-Dade County Public School system (MDCPS) and our wealth of in-house resources in Architecture and Enqineerinq. The building was designed for the integration of a 4-ton crane system. Services also included programming assistance and permitting. The work was comoleted within a condensed schedule and within tiqht budqet requirements. (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief Scope. size. cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE 0" Check if project performed with current firm Principal in Charge of the design of this $ 5.5 million multi-purpose youth center which includes classrooms, youth training center, computer labs, and health center. Services also included parking lot drainage, water main, pump station, and general site development. Programmed to be the crown jewel of the City of North Miami's Parks & Recreation Department, this facility will occupy a very highly visible location within the westem end of the City. This project is currently in process of Silver LEED certification. Green design and construction methods are being used throughout the park for environmental benefits. (1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) (2) YEAR COMPLETED Renovations & Addition to Lauderhill Fire Station No. 57 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (if applicable) Lauderhill, Florida 2003 2005 (3) BRIEF OESCRIPTION (Brief Scope. size. cost. etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE 0" Check if project performed with current firm C3TS was retained by the City of Lauderhill Fire Department to provide Architectural & Engineering services to renovate an existing three story former Police Headquarters building adjacent to Fire Station NO.57 and design a new building to connect the two existing buildings. The new building d. houses two apparatus bays. The ground floor of the existing three story building houses the quarters for the Fire-Rescue personnel. The second floor contains the City of Lauderhill's Emergency Operations Center and Fire-Rescue Training Facilities. The third floor provides space for the Fire Administrations and Fire Marshal's offices. Construction cost was $1.8 million dollars. The construction inspection services included on site personnel to provide the construction engineering administration services inclusive of construction inspection services including but not limited to overseeing, coordinating and inspecting the work of surveyors and construction contractors. Responsibilities included monitoring, record keeping, approving and recommending requisitions for compensation, review of change orders, estimations, claims, scheduling, shop drawings and remedial designs. C3TS also provided responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and assuring compliance with all local, state and federal regulations, on behalf of the City of Lauderhill.
