<br />Ghasem Khavanin, P.E. <br />Civil Engineer <br /> <br />Career History: <br /> <br />January 2008 to Present: Tally Engineering, Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Khavanin joined Tally Engineering in January 2008 in the capacity of a <br />Roadway design and drainage engineer. Presently Mr. Khavanin is working on <br />the following projects: <br /> <br />2009 - Ongoing - Pembroke Road intersection with new access road at <br />Grand Palms Country Club; Pembroke Pines, Florida. <br />As a design engineer, Mr. Khavanin is directly responsible for alignment, <br />drainage, pavement design, utilities, channelization, signage pavement marking, <br />signalization, lighting, curb and gutter, and all the modifications to Pembroke Road <br />for the new entrance, including but not limited to, transition lane, <br />acceleration/deceleration lane from east and west approach to Grand Palms Drive <br />for the new access road to a community of 500 homes. This design is in two <br />phases: design the access road for the developer and modification of Pembroke <br />Road, including signalization, to be paid for by the City of Pembroke Pines. The <br />scope of the design is the design and maintenance of traffic on Pembroke Road <br />to provide modification of the median, a storage lane and new signalization for <br />eastbound and westbound entrance and exit to and from the community and <br />Pembroke Road. <br /> <br />1999 to 2001: City Engineer for City of Plantation in Broward County, <br />Florida <br />In charge of the Engineering Department, involved in the daily activities <br />associated with Engineering Department, including designs of utilities (water, <br />sewer, force main and pump station), paving and grading, lighting, road <br />improvement and land development. Reviewed and approved the entire projects <br />within the city limits. Worked with Broward County and the state for their work <br />within the city limits. Prepared yearly budgets for the Engineering Department <br />and the entire City of Plantation improvement/engineering projects. <br /> <br />1990 to 1999: Assistant Town Engineer for the Town of Davie, in Broward <br />County, Florida <br />In charge of the Engineering Department, involved in the daily activities <br />associated with Engineering Department, including designs of utilities (water, <br />sewer, force main and pump station), paving and grading, lighting, road <br />improvement and land development. Reviewed and approved the entire projects <br />within the city limits. Worked with Broward County and the state for their work <br />within the city limits. Also involved in completing the application for grant money <br />and construction of the entire capital projects. <br /> <br />1984 to 1999: Environmental Engineer for the County Health Department <br />Reviewed and approved the plans for water main improvement and treatment <br />plant and issuance of the permit for construction.
