BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br /> <br />Bermello Ajamil & Partners, Inc. was awarded this contract by the City of Key West. The project includes the construction of sidewalk <br />along the east side of College Road and to provide drainage enhancements to the corridor. Bus stops will be upgraded to provide <br />compliance with ADA requirements. Additional work includes coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation (FOOT) <br />for permitting and environmental certification, preparation of a construction cost estimate, and attendance and participation at a <br />public information meeting. B&A is currently in the finishing stages of preparing construction documents, front end documents, and <br />specifications in order to submit the package for bidding. <br /> <br />Although the project was awarded by the City, the funding is provided by the Florida Department of Transportation (FOOT) District VI <br />through a Local Agency Program (LAP) agreement.
