Project Description

II The Aquarium will be themed as an operating Marine Laboratory serving sea life. All Staff will be
dressed in appropriate clothing and the operations of the lab will be both interactive with visitors and
visual.

1 sl Floor

90% of the mechanical functions of filters, pumping, ozone/UV, protein skimmers and aerators,
associated piping and electrical will be visual to the public. There will be gauges, controls, quarantine
and relaxing tanks throughout the facility.

There will be actual labs for food preparation, water quality control, medical attention, fish farming,
agricultural/ plant life, intertidal ecology, biological health, Bob/Helmet diving equipment repair, etc.

On the first level there will be 3 labs. A large reef tank with black-tip reef sharks, amberjack, black
drum fish, spade fish and rays; a shark encounter walk-through tunnel; variety of colorful sea life and
continuing up 3 floors with a walking ramp along the back side of the tank. Visitors will be able
to actual touch and interact with the sea rays and penguins and learn from the attendants about their day
to day life.

e

Another unique exhibit is these two large ceiling tanks with clear bottoms hanging through the ceiling.
One tank will be jelly fish, the other is sea horses and similar species.

These tanks transition up into the lab area on the second floor and are open on the third floor.

This area would also have a gift / merchandising and photo 'pick-up' shop located near the exit of the
aquarium. Within the shop, is a clown fish tank and similar species.

The last exhibit on this level is a Sea-Bob adventure pool with interactive computer activated
controlled fish, sharks, rays, dolphins, reptiles and seals. Each visitor will be allowed to change into a
bathing suit, ride the Sea-Bob into the tank and experience sea-biking with the fish and computer
operated sea life.

The pool will be indoor/outdoor and the outdoor area will be an everglade exhibit area; reptiles will be
interactive with customers who will be walking and experiencing swamp life aquatics.

2nd Floor

Walking up the ramp around the reef tank you arrive at the second level and to your right there will be
3 more labs. These labs also have cylinder tanks that exhibit the jelly fish and sea horses as seen on the
first level in the ceiling.

e

The reef tank offers a full view of the sharks, sea turtles and other reef species in the middle of the
tank.
