BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost)

The Segment II extension of the South Dade Busway from Cutler Ridge to Florida City was a vital transportation
improvement of Miami-Dade County and an equally important enhancement to the communities along the 7.3 miles of the
project corridor. The project design involved the transformation of an abandoned railroad corridor into a transit roadway
that will extend and interconnect public bus routes and bicycle trails from Miami to Homestead and Florida City. Roadway
design plans also included intersection improvements, street lighting, signalization, and maintenance of traffic. Special
drainage design and earthwork measures were required to mitigate in-situ contaminated soils within significant portions of
the project corridor. Significant public involvement with all impacted comm unities along the entire corridor was also
important to the success of this project. Metric's Fee: $4,657,807 Construction Cost: $38 million

25.
