In addition to office space for the Police and <br />Fire-Rescue departments to conduct their day-to-day operations, the 107,000-square-foot, five-story building will <br />contain a community meeting room, holding cells, the City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC), the 911 Dispatch <br />Center, the City's Management Information Systems Department, and a joint Training Center that includes a <br />Weapons Firing Range. <br /> <br />The new four-bay, 18,000 square foot Fire Station #72 is adjacent to the Public Safety building. The station houses <br />the Departments' Logistics Support Services. <br /> <br />The complex is hardened to withstand a low Category 4 hurricane <br /> <br />25.
