BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope. size. and cost) <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Bohlander, PE <br /> <br />The scope of the project included preparing construction drawings for <br />conversion of an existing septic system area to sanitary sewers. The project <br />included approximately 21,150 linear feet of gravity sewers, 750 feet of forced <br />mains, a sanitary sewer pump station and 8,000 feet of water line relocation. <br />Services included full construction plans, specifications and estimates, <br />construction bid assistance and construction support services during <br />construction. <br /> <br />The project was especially challenging due to the low elevations of the area <br />and the fact that the project is an existing neighborhood. Concerns included <br />the location of the pump station to avoid affecting residents, coordination with <br />local schools, avoid affecting existing trees and coordination with all the <br />existing utilities. A utility location and soft dig program was periormed and <br />coordinated to avoid relocation of existing utilities and to design the proposed <br />improvements. <br /> <br />RJ Behar also participated in the public information program and coordinated <br />efforts with the prime consultant in charge of the design of the pump station, <br />the program manager and the City's Staff.
