BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size. and cost)

The South Florida Water Management District required the updating of several pump stations. These
pump stations were design by the USACOE and are of the 1961 to 1995 vintage. The District wanted to
update the pump stations to current South Florida Building Code standards, and they also wanted to
make adjustments for noise abatement. This project was very important to the District, because these
same pump stations are currently used for water control throughout South Florida, including Lake
Okeechobee.

The firm was responsible for the hardening of the pump station buildings enabling them to operate
during extreme weather conditions while protecting the operators from the weather related dangers.

Specifically the firm provided the structural and mechanical engineering designs and cost estimating for
the layer of reinforced concrete on the exterior of the buildings as well as the reinforcement of the air
intakes and steel encasements and the concrete for the exterior conduits and pipes for the "hardening"
of the pump stations. Additionally, CES participated in a noise abatement study to help reduce the
impact of the high decibels within the pump stations to the operators.

CES has an excellent working relationship with T.Y. Un, and the success of CES can be attributed to
the level of attention and responsiveness placed on all of our projects,

25.
