BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br /> <br />On August 23, 2005 Hurricane Katrina formed over the <br />Bahamas and went on to cross over South Florida. <br />Although only a Category 1 when it crossed South <br />Florida, it formed extremely fast and left very little time <br />for preparation. CES Consultants, Inc. was contracted <br />to provide a wide range of services including Debris <br />Monitoring and Management throughout Miami-Dade <br />County for the Public Works Department under a $4M <br />master consulting contract. Below is a detailed list of the services provided by CES staff. <br /> <br />Debris Monitoring Services included: <br /> <br />./ Provided trained and equipped debris monitors as required by the agency. <br />./ Provided each monitor with a daily schedule and assignment. <br />./ Monitoring and records collection for all contract haulers according to agency standards. <br />./ Monitoring and records collection for all material movement according to agency standards. <br />./ Maintained and updated debris collection maps and spreadsheets throughout the county. <br />./ Performed a survey of affected areas and identified debris to be removed, potential hazards, and <br />county assets requiring repairs or replacement. <br />./ Investigated and documented any damage to public or private property that occurred during any <br />debris removal. <br />./ Coordinated with County staff on all field activities. <br /> <br />25.
