Shad Shafic, PE Principal-in-Chargc Mr. Shafie has over 15 years of experience in the structural design of a wide variety of projects. constructed of structural steel. cast-in-place concrete. precast and prestressed con- crete, composites, masonry. and wood. Clients have included school districts, federal Department of Defense (DoDl. state agencies. county governments. industrial plants. and reli- gious facilities. Mr. Shafie has experience with building code development and enforcement in high wind areas and was involved in the development and research of the building code for windstorm resistant construction for Texas. He was also responsible for inspection oversight and inspector training. As a structural engineer. Mr. Shafie works with all disciplines to develop the optimum structural design, which meets the owner's criteria. Once the structural systems are defined, he heads the effort to develop all structural calculations. work- ing drawings. and specifications. taking time to coordinate with other disciplines.
