Mr. Shafie was lead structural <br />engineer for this two-story facility designed for the Texas Department of <br />Transportation's (TxDOT) TT A division. The total cost of the project was 57 <br />million with a 25,000-sf floor plan. The building was designed using structural <br />steel framing with steel composite floors. The roof consists of steel trusses. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Child Care Facility, FOOT District One, Bartow, Florida. Mr. Shafie was <br />lead structural engineer for this one-story facility. The project was a renovation <br />of an existing building with a budget of $300,000. The building was designed <br />using the existing masonry exterior walls and new light-gage steel trusses. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Port Manatee Access Control/Security Center, Manatee County, Florida. <br />Mr. Shafie was lead structural engineer for this one-story, II ,214-sf facility for <br />the Manatee County Port Authority. With a project cost of $2.5 million, the <br />facility consists of exterior load bearing masonry walls with interior steel <br />columns and steel bar joists. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Hays County YMCA, Buda, Texas. Mr. Shafie was the lead structural engineer <br />for this new one-story, 28,000-sffacility, which included the design of an <br />exterior pavilion and shade structure. The $5.6 million building consists of a <br />steel-framed structure with masonry interior and exterior walls. The roof is <br />framed with traditional steel bar joists and long-span bowstring joists over the <br />workout room and the indoor pool. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Recreation Center Addition, City of Georgetown, Georgetown, Texas. Mr. <br />Shafie was the lead structural engineer for this one-story, 42,000-sf addition. The <br />project has a budget of 58.5 million. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />New Aquatic Center, Frank Brown Park, Panama City Beach, Florida. Mr. <br />Shafie was the lead structural engineer for this project, which involved the <br />design of a one-story facility constructed with masonry walls, prefabricated <br />trusses, and a separate prefabricated canvas enclosed pool facility. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Medical Office, Sandhill Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, Garden City, <br />Kansas. Mr. Shafie was the project structural engineer. The one-story facility <br />was designed with load-bearing, light-gage steel framing.
