<br />Mr. Ramirez has over six years of experience in engineering including the
<br />structural design of a wide variety of projects as well as field experience in
<br />perfonning assessments on hurricane-damaged structures. He has managed and
<br />worked on the structural design of a variety of projects that have been designed
<br />with structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, precast and prestressed concrete,
<br />composites, masonry, and wood. The clients have included industrial plants,
<br />federal Department of Defense (DoD), state agencies, school districts, county
<br />governments, and private enterprises. Notable projects include the Port Manatee
<br />Security Building, Bridgeway Acres Redevelopment, Panama City Beach
<br />Aquatic Center, MacDill Air Force Base AGE Facility, Winter Haven Regional
<br />Airport, and numerous smaller renovations at regional Publix stores. He has also
<br />assisted with the renovation of the Land's End Resort at Captiva Island, Florida
<br />after the resort was heavily damaged during a hurricane, and has worked with
<br />the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in providing structural
<br />analyses and reports for the improvement of first-responder facilities,
<br />educational facilities used as shelters, and retrofitting existing educational
<br />facilities to meet CUlTent wind load standards. He also has a wide range of
<br />experience in residential design, construction, and inspections. His inspection
<br />experience includes threshold inspections of South Dade Middle School (State
<br />School SS-I), a new Staples Office Supply store, and numerous residential and
<br />FEMA inspections.
<br />
<br />As a structural engineer intern, Mr. Ramirez has experience working with all
<br />disciplines to develop the optimum structural design which meets the owner's
<br />criteria. Once the structural systems are defined, he leads the effort to develop all
<br />structural calculations, working drawings, and specifications, taking time to
<br />coordinate with other disciplines. Other responsibilities include performing site
<br />visits, structural threshold inspections, 40-year structural inspections, writing
<br />reports outlining solutions to structural problems, assessing structural conditions
<br />at various sites, and supervising team members.

<br />Mr. Ramirez's representative project experience includes:

<br />Publix Supermarkets Located Throughout South Florida. Perfonned
<br />structural work for all remodels at stores including calculations for roof-top
<br />equipment and enclosures. Also performed post-Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma
<br />structural assessments and report writing for various Publix facilities damaged
<br />by the storms, and is on call for future stonn damage with Publix Supennarkets.
