(MSA) is providing <br />professional engineering services for the wastewater system <br />improvements for the Everglades National Park <br />Headquarters and Pine Island. The following is MSA scope <br />of services: <br /> <br />c. POINT OF CONT ACT TELEPHONE NUMBER <br />(407) 660-2552 <br /> <br /> <br />MSA prepared the engineering plans and technical <br />specifications for the civil/mechanical engineering <br />components of the wastewater collection, pumping and <br />transmission system improvements; as well as regulatory <br />permitting assistance consisting of the preparation of the <br />Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) <br />.onstruction Permit Application. <br /> <br />Analysis and Design - MSA utilized the topographic Everglades National Park <br />survey, available system as-builts, geotechnical <br />investigations, and other available/pertinent site information <br />to develop the engineering design plans for the proposed improvements. The system was designed to comply with the <br />requirements of the FDEP and adhere to standard industry standards. The following are the proposed improvements <br />designed by MSA for this project: <br /> <br />· Twenty-One (21) Septic Tank abandonment per HRS requirements <br />· Four (4) Duplex Grinder Pump Stations located at the Visitor Center, Headquarters, and Maintenance Facility <br />· Seventeen (17) Simplex Grinder Pump Stations as located at the Entry Gate, WWTF site and Housing/Bldg <br />lOS/Laundry <br /> <br />Regulatory Permitting Assistance - MSA assisted the National Park Service (NPS) with the preparation of the FDEP <br />permitting applications and provided necessary supporting documentation, as required to satisfy the noted permitting <br />agencies requirements. <br /> <br />Construction Phase Assistance - MSA is cunently providing Construction Administration Assistance to the NPS such as: <br /> <br />. Shop drawings reviews <br />. Periodic site inspections <br />· Certification of the sewage collection, transmission and pump systems <br /> <br />Project Cost: $58,926.00 <br /> <br />. <br />
