POINT OF CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBER <br />(305) 446-7799 (Prime) <br /> <br /> <br />The Miami-Dade County Park and Recreation Department <br />(PARD) is proposing to construct a new maintenance facility <br />within the boundaries of the Matheson Hammocks Park. Milian, <br />Swain & Associates, Inc. (MSA) is providing environmental <br />engineering services for this project. MSA scope of services <br />includes: <br /> <br />Environmental Engineering & Permitting Services: <br /> <br />Aerial View of Matheson Hammocks Park and the <br />proposed relocation <br /> <br />· Delineate the project wetlands using the currently accepted <br />methodologies by the US Army Corp of Engineers (US ACE), <br />the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) and <br />the Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental <br />Resources Management (DERM). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />· The MSA biologist is utilizing colored flagging to delineate <br />the jurisdictional wetland boundary. The wetland delineations are being marked on an available County aerial <br />or topographic survey. Other field information including the completion of COE Wetland Determination Data <br />Sheets and a Uniform Mitigation Assessment Method (UMAM) are also being performed. <br /> <br />Conduct a preliminary wildlife survey during the wetland delineation to determine presence of any listed <br />plant or animal species. The MSA biologist will meet on-site one time with the SFWMD and COE to verify <br />the delineated wetland and existing mangrove boundaries. <br /> <br />Coordinate with the Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) survey personnel following field verification <br />by ACOE and SFWMD, regarding location of flagged wetland areas and Mangrove boundaries, and review <br />the resulting delineation survey for accuracy prior to agency submittal. <br /> <br />Develop a mitigation plan based on the final site design and anticipated impacts to wetlands and mangroves <br />for on-site mitigation and/or purchase of credits from an approved offsite mitigation bank. <br /> <br />Attend pre-application meeting with each environmental permitting agency. <br /> <br />Coordinate the submittal of an Environmental Resource Permit (E.R.P.) application with the team's civil <br />engineering consultant by completing and preparing the environmental portions of the ERP application. MSA <br />will submit the necessary environmental documentation to the civil consultant for their subsequent submittal <br />of the ERP to the regulatory agencies. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />
