BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT <br />Architects International, Inc, was retained to perform Architectural & Engineering Design for this project. As part of the <br />Parks Design Program, the City of Miami wants to develop a Multipurpose Building for Jose Marti Park that satisfies the <br />indoor recreation needs of the Park user, especially youth and family, It is also intended to provide space for the use of <br />Recreation Department staff and community groups, <br /> <br />With community involvement in mind, the City of Miami is contributing to improve the quality of life of the Hispanic <br />community in the area of Little Havana, Jose Marti Park is a 10 acres area park, The proposed site is approximately <br />18,750 SF and the buildable area is approximately 10,300 SF, The building is to be designed in a way that allows a future <br />connection to the Pool Building by a covered walkway in order for both buildings to work as a recreational complex. The <br />interior of Jose Marti Park Recreation Building includes: Reception, Multi-Purpose Room, 25 station Computer Room, <br />Gym, Wellness Center, Arts & Crafts, three Classrooms, Concession and Offices, The project is funded by the Miami- <br />Dade Safe Neighborhood Program and the City of Miami's Homeland Defense/Neighborhood Improvement Bond. <br /> <br />"'"f')"*' <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />25.
