Technical Competence <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Land Design South is a multidisciplinary consulting firm specialized in providing <br />professional planning, landscape architecture, environmental consulting and <br />transportation engineering services. Our project leaders are skilled in the <br />management of highly complex design projects and navigating consultant teams <br />through successful projects on time and on budget. <br /> <br />We have assembled a consultant group with the combined technical competency <br />to successfully complete the Heritage Park and Parking Garage project. The <br />following pages will illustrate the experience and qualifications of Land Design <br />South and each of the consultant team members. We feel strongly that the <br />combined expertise of this team sets us apart from the competition and will yield <br />a design that clearly addresses all of the requirements as set forth by the RFQ. <br /> <br />Land Design South has an impressive track record in the design of public <br />spaces. Consequently, we understand the numerous functional, creative, social, <br />financial and technical challenges facing these environments today including (but <br />not limited to): local building code compliance, handicapped accessibility, basic <br />amenities, site furnishings, education, safety, security and aesthetics. All issues <br />are addressed from the onset of the planning process as an integral part of the <br />overall solutions developed. Our firm has been responsible for overcoming <br />similar challenges for several Florida communities, including the highlighted <br />projects in the pages to follow. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1.b Project Management <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The project manager assigned to this project is Mr. Jeff Brophy. Jeff is a <br />licensed landscape architect in the state of Florida and a Director with Land <br />Design South. Jeff Brophy joined Land Design South in June, 2000 as a <br />Designer in the Site Planning Division. His current responsibilities as a Director <br />include managing the site planning process for major residential and commercial <br />developments, from initial design concept to representing projects throughout the <br />approval process, which includes staff level meetings and public hearing <br />appearances at planning and zoning and City Council meetings as well as <br />engaging the public in participation events and charrettes for design input. Jeff <br />has obtained extensive experience on large-scale residential, mixed-use <br />developments and various other public and private projects throughout Palm <br />Beach County. He has experience leading consultant teams including architects, <br />engineers, surveyors, irrigation consultants, golf course consultants and <br />attorneys on a regular basis.
