Dade College North Campus. The project consists of the complete interior renovation of two tiered lecture halls (#2151 and #2158) located on the ground floor of the N-2000 building. The 7,300 sJ. project includes new theater style fixed seating, finishes, multi-media equipment, acoustics, specialty ceiling system, general and specialty lighting, code modifications and technology package upgrades. Supporting spaces include entry lobbies, service lobby and an ADA accessibility lift. New seating capacity will total 480 seats. The additional project includes the HVAC unit replacement which services the entire first floor of the N-2000 building. Facility. This project includes multi-phased remodeling and additions that will take place while the existing facility remains in operation. Challenges of this project include the constraints of a very tight existing site encompassing multiple functions including the Public Works Department and their fleet, administrative functions, customer service, and pUblic access. Working with within a demanding schedule and tight budget, Harvard Jolly is incorporating simple design features to create a new image of the facility that while meeting safety and security requirements is both friendly and accessible to public.
