The intent of this description is to convey the requirement that the paths listed in this section shall be <br />maintained to a superior level such that they are the viewed by the public as the best maintained in the <br />area. It is this standard that will be required of the Proposers. <br />The supplying and placing of this item is separate and unique from the special proposal items also listed <br />in this package and the proposal price shown for this item will be considered full and total payment for all <br />normal ongoing operations. For any additional payments under this item, or any other, the service must <br />be specifically requested by the City for a unique and specific task. <br />3.9 H. BUS SHELTER AND BENCH LOCATIONS (see attached map for locations) <br />H1. through H46. This proposal item is to include the supplying of all necessary materials, supplies, <br />labor, equipment, fuel, and other miscellaneous necessities to routinely maintain the general condition of <br />the City Bus Shelters and Bus Benches listed in this group. This work shall include, but not be limited to, <br />weeding all locations, irrigating (including the full maintenance and repair of the irrigation system itself) <br />all landscaped areas (where they exist), removing all graffiti within twenty-four hours, blowing the <br />adjacent sidewalks daily, power washing sidewalks once a month, daily removal of all litter, daily cleaning <br />and maintenance of all trash receptacles (where they exist), and daily inspection of all lighting, and <br />shelter or bench appurtenances (including making any necessary repairs). <br />The intent of this description is to convey the requirement that the shelters and benches listed in this <br />section shall be maintained to a superior level such that they are the viewed by the public as the best <br />maintained in the area. It is this standard that will be required of the Proposers. <br />The supplying and placing of this item is separate and unique from the special proposal items also listed <br />in this package and the proposal price shown for this item will be considered full and total payment for all <br />normal ongoing operations. For any additional payments under this item, or any other, the service must <br />be specifically requested by the City for a unique and specific task. In areas of traffic, the proposal will <br />include all appropriate traffic control devices that conform to an approved Management of Traffic (MOT) <br />plan. All traffic control costs shall be a part of the unit price proposal and shall not be paid for <br />separately. <br />3.10 I. PARKING LOTS (see attached may for locations) <br />I1. through I5. This proposal item is to include the supplying of all necessary materials, supplies, labor, <br />equipment, fuel, and other miscellaneous necessities to fully maintain the general condition of the City <br />Parking Lots listed in this group. This work shall include, but not be limited to, weeding, mowing all grass <br />such that it never exceeds 4 inches in height under normal conditions or 5 inches in height under drought <br />conditions, irrigating (including the full maintenance and repair of the irrigation system itself) all <br />landscaped areas, maintaining and replacing (if necessary) any plants, removing all graffiti within twenty- <br />four hours, blowing sidewalks weekly, power washing sidewalks once a month, daily removal of all litter, <br />daily cleaning and maintenance of all trash receptacles (where they exist), and daily inspection of all <br />lighting and lot appurtenances. The City will supply all irrigation materials necessary under this item <br />upon written request by the proposer's Irrigation Specialist. In emergency situations, the Irrigation <br />Specialist may purchase the materials and will be reimbursed (at actual cost) by the City, but then only <br />upon receipt of both the proper documentation of the emergency nature of the work and the proper <br />original invoices for materials. <br />The supplying and placing of this item is separate and unique from the special proposal items also listed <br />in this package and the proposal price shown for this item will be considered full and total payment for all <br />normal ongoing operations.
