An inventory of existing trees. <br /> <br />2.) An analysis of existing conditions such as scenic values, areas of emphasis, <br />vehicular encroachment, visibility, safety and maintenance considerations. <br /> <br />C.) Prepare a statement of Probable Construction Cost that will help the City Manager <br />establish a Construction Budget. <br /> <br />D.) Present the Conceptual Design as well as the Statement of Probable Construction <br />Cost to the City Manager for review and approval. <br /> <br />E.) Attend public presentations to the City Council (if deemed advisable by the City <br />Manager). <br /> <br />Final Design I Contract Documents <br /> <br />A.) In close coordination with the City Manager, final design plans and Bid Documents <br />will be completed. <br /> <br />B.) A final and detailed estimate of Probable Construction Cost will be completed. <br /> <br />C.) Collins Avenue and the Sunny Isles Causeways are very heavily traveled roadways, <br />and a Maintenance of Traffic plan may be required to secure and FDOT permit. <br />ODA will collaborate with the City's consulting Engineer to insure completion of <br />a Maintenance of Traffic Plan that meets FDOT and the City of Sunny Isles criteria <br />and that clearly defines traffic control and safety. <br /> <br />D.) Safety and Landscape Criteria requirements: <br /> <br />1.) State of Florida statutes mandate the use of xeriscape principles in the <br />planting design within FDOT right-of-way. This means that native and <br />drought tolerant vegetation should be used, along with water retaining soil <br />amendments. <br /> <br />2.) Safety is paramount in Roadway Design Landscaping. FDOT Indexes 700 <br />and 546 must be adhered to. This safety criteria addresses setback from curb <br />and clear sight distance at intersections. ODA will include line of sight <br />geometry in all plans to clearly define that all safety indexes have been met. <br /> <br />Post Construction Watering and Maintenance <br /> <br />A.) Prepare a Schedule of Maintenance requiring the Contractor to provide watering and <br />maintenance during the establishment period. <br />
