Puig, R.L.A. <br />Landscape Architect <br />Registrations and Certifications: <br />• Registered Landscape Architect, State of Florida <br />IEducation: <br />Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, University of <br />Florida, 1989 <br />Relevant Professional Experience: <br />Mr. Puig joined Miller, Legg & Associates in 1999 as a <br />Senior Landscape Designer. He is responsible for <br />landscape architectural design for a variety of public and <br />private projects including roadway landscaping and <br />irrigation, active and passive park landscape design, as <br />well as residential and commercial projects. <br />Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a senior landscape <br />designer for various local architecture and engineering <br />firms and the Miami -Dade County Aviation Department. <br />Professional and Civic Activities: <br />Committee Member, Miami Chapter, American <br />Society of Landscape Architects <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br />Weston Town Center -This 30 -acre mixed -use project <br />included retail, office, residential and future <br />governmental services. Other key elements for Weston <br />Town Center include a lakefront linear park with band <br />shell and an interactive fountain. The design process <br />for this project included the preparation of Master Design <br />Guidelines for the entire project and all the varied uses. <br />In addition, this pedestrian oriented "soul" of the City of <br />Weston included a highly pedestrian- oriented central <br />retail area with themed landscaping, specialty paving <br />design, and site furniture. <br />FDOT District VI Miscellaneous Landscape <br />Architectural Services - responsible for client <br />coordination and overseeing project production for FDOT <br />District VI roadway projects. Scope of services includes <br />planting, irrigation, specialty paving, and construction <br />administration. <br />Sample Road Beautification Project - assisted in the <br />planting and hardscape design of 4 -lane divided <br />roadway in Broward County. The design incorporated <br />existing trees and palms and established a plant and <br />paver pallette theme for future roadways within the City <br />of Coconut Creek. <br />City of Miramar Parkway Streetscape Designs - <br />Numerous streets within the City became critical to the <br />enhancement of residential and commercial <br />communities. This streetscape improvement project <br />included a 1.5 mile section of the Miramar Parkway <br />corridor adjacent to US 441. Some of the proposed <br />streetscape improvements included enhancement of the <br />pedestrian corridor to encourage additional and safe <br />pedestrian traffic for commercial uses. In addition, the <br />use of consolidated parking areas rather than on- street <br />parking were implemented in highly commercial/ <br />industrial areas so as to improve the aesthetics of the <br />
