<br />• Carter Park Improvements - a 15 -acre community park
<br />in the City of Fort Lauderdale whose amenities include
<br />ballfields, swimming pool and complex, gymnasium,
<br />tennis courts, basketball courts, parking lots,
<br />entranceways and fencing. Services to be provided
<br />include: paving, drainage, water and sewer, site design,
<br />lighting, landscape architecture, and construcion
<br />services.
<br />Rolling Hills, a 350 -acre residential, commercial and
<br />golf course development in Davie. Services provided in-
<br />cluded: site plan design and processing; water manage-
<br />ment design and permitting; complete engineering de-
<br />sign and permitting of residential parcels; assistance in
<br />easements and rights -of -way vacations; and construc-
<br />tion services.
<br />Douglas Road, a 2 -mile roadway project which included
<br />the preparation of a Basis of Design Report (BODR) and
<br />subsequent final design and construction plans. Services
<br />provided included: design roadway widening from existing
<br />2, 3, and 4 lanes to a widened four lane divided roadway
<br />and associated drainage, lighting, intersection
<br />improvement, signalization, pavement marking, utility
<br />adjustments and maintenance of traffic.
<br />North Andrews Gardens Neighborhood
<br />Improvement Project, a 730 -acre community in
<br />Unicorporated Broward County. Services provided in the
<br />first phase of the project included a Basis of Design Report
<br />(BODR) which evaluated the existing conditions and
<br />recommended engineering and landscape architectural
<br />solutions. The design portion of the project includes the
<br />design, construction /contract administration, permitting
<br />of water, sanitary sewer, drainage and roadway
<br />improvements, preparation of bidding documents, as well
<br />as the design of landscaping and entry sign features for
<br />the neighborhood. Additional services provided by MLA
<br />include SFWMD and Broward County Department of
<br />Planning and Environmental Protection surface water
<br />permitting, FDOT permitting, public information, and
<br />construction /contract administration.
<br />• Pine Island Road, a 1 -mile roadway alignment project
<br />including preparation of a Basis of Design Report (BODR)
<br />and subsequent final design and construction plans.
<br />Services provided included: surveying, parcel taking and
<br />easement descriptions, drainage, lighting, intersection
<br />improvements, signalization, pavement marking, utility
<br />adjustment and maintenance of traffic.
<br />New York City Parks, Redevelopment Coordinator for
<br />over 30 public parks in Queens and Bronx. Services
<br />provided included: cost estimates, construction plans
<br />and implementation, and inspection for numerous parks
<br />and streetscape projects and design of playgrounds,
<br />recreation facilities, lighting, and irrigation.
<br />Ansin Park, a 15 -acre planned active use park to have
<br />amenities including: water theme park aquatic center,
<br />basketball courts, baseball fields and a multi - purpose
<br />building in Pembroke Pines. Services provided included:
<br />surveying and platting; site planning, landscape design,
<br />paving, drainage, water and sewer design, lighting design
<br />and construction observation and management.
<br />• Tamarac Roadway Beautification Project, Project
<br />Manager for planting and hardscape design of 5 +/-
<br />residential roadway miles in Tamarac. Unification and
<br />establishment of sense of place for five separate
<br />neighborhoods utilizing existing vegetation.
<br />Sample Roadway Beautification Project, Project
<br />Manager for planting and hardscape design of a 4 acre
<br />divided roadway in Broward County. The design
<br />incorporated existing trees and palms and established a
<br />plant and paver pallette theme for future roadways within
<br />the City of Coconut Creek.
