<br />Professional Experience:
<br />Ms. Cohen joined Miller, Legg & Associates in 1998 and
<br />has over 20 years of experience in landscape architecture,
<br />planning, urban design and site engineering throughout
<br />Florida, Alabama, New York and Maryland.
<br />As a Landscape Architect, Ms. Cohen is responsible for
<br />design, specifications, scheduling, cost estimates, bid-
<br />ding, and documentation as it relates to the firm's land-
<br />scape architecture, planning and urban design services.
<br />Working in the capacity as a Consultant, Ms. Cohen is
<br />also a member of the City of Miramar Development Review
<br />Committee (DRC). Her responsibilities include review of
<br />landscape plans, site plans, plats and master zoning plans.
<br />She has been instrumental in establishing guidelines for
<br />landscape review and assisting in the revision of Chapter
<br />9, Landscaping Requirements and Tree Presentation, of
<br />the City of Miramar's Land Development Code.
<br />Prior to joining the firm, she served in the role of Senior
<br />Landscape Architect and Project Manager at the firm of
<br />Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. in West Palm Beach, Florida.
<br />She received her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and
<br />Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies while at-
<br />tending college in New York.
<br />In addition, she previously was on the International Re-
<br />naissance Center Architectural Review Board.
<br />Instruction:
<br />• Four years of experience at Geoge Washington University
<br />instructing courses in Site Engineering and Design for
<br />the Landscape Architecture Program.
<br />• CPTED instructor for the Broward Sheriff's Office and
<br />the Attorney General's Office.
<br />Relevant Project Experience:
<br />Landscape Corridor Planning, a 40 -mile project
<br />requiring the preparation of comprehensive Landscape
<br />Guidelines for fifteen different Arterial & Collector roadway
<br />corridors in Western Miramar. Services provided included:
<br />land use and regulatory control investigations, right -of-
<br />way inventories of existing conditions, community
<br />assistance workshops, landscape corridor guidelines,
<br />and budgetary cost estimates.
<br />• FDOT Landscape Projects, designed over 20 landscape
<br />architecture projects throughout Florida utilizing a variety
<br />of landscape architecture elements using Microstation,
<br />Sunrise Blvd./ U.S. 441, a project for the Florida
<br />Department of Transportation spanning through the cities
<br />of Plantation, Lauderhill and other parts of Broward
<br />County. Services provided included: landscape
<br />architecture, irrigation, amenities design, streetscape
<br />design and cost estimates.
