Landscape Architect Page 2 Relevant Project Experience: Continued • Coral Tree Park - Prepared construction documents for a 1.2 -acre interpretive environmental habitat within Coconut Creek. The project involves recreation of wetland, transitional hardwood hammock, grasslands, and pine flatwoods habitats for the enjoyment of the residents of adjacent communities. Weston Seepage Barrier — Prepared construction documents for 54 acres of wetland mitigation planting installations. These plantings included herbaceous marsh, upland transitional and tree island habitats. This project required construction observation, coordination with the landscape contractor, and review of the contractor invoices. ' • Muvico Movie Theater - A 41 -acre commercial project including a 24- screen theatre in Davie. Services pro- vided include: site plan amendment and processing as- sistance, landscaping processing assistance, on -site en- ' gineering, sketch and legal description, and construc- tion observation. 1 1 Heron Bay Commons - This recreational amenity is the centerpiece of an upscale residential community in Coral Springs and Parkland that includes a full - service clubhouse with indoor racquetball and spacious pool and patio area. In addition, the 13 -acre project includes an 8 -court tennis facility, tot lots and open play fields. Buffering of this recreational facility was achieved through lush plantings and berming, while providing vistas from the facility to the adjacent Everglades ecosystem. Services provided include: landscape architecture, irrigation and construction observation. Savanna Recreation Center - This award- winning 11- acre community recreation facility is designed to focus on a central aquatic area that provided uses for all level users. The aquatic area includes a junior olympic competition pool, a free -form recreational pool, a waterslide and an aquatic tot lot. In addition to the aquatic facilities, this project includes a multi - purpose sports field, a roller hockey rink and a tropically themed miniature golf course. Services provided include: landscape and irrigation design. Kmart Corporation Boca Raton Store Expansion - expansion of the existing Kmart store on Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton. Services provided included: engineering, site planning, tree relocation plans, irrigation and landscape architecture which considered the existing conditions. Flamingo Road Baptist Church - Expansion of a 17- acre church site in Cooper City. Services provided included: field confirmation and documentation of the existing site irrigation and landscape areas prior to developing final landscape and irrigation plans for the expansion of the project. Due to the project's size it is located in one municipality and in unincorporated Broward County, therefore the designs had to address both the City's and the County's development code requirements. • Parkland Isles - a 220 -acre residential community in Parkland. Development of construction documents for an award- winning entry feature as well as the development of designs for a one -mile linear park that serves as the main greenspace throughout the community. Landscape, hardscape, and gathering spaces were key elements. Coral Springs Charter School - Development of an overall site master plan for an 18 -acre former mall that was converted into a charter high school. The master plan considered segregation of bus, student and faculty traffic; revision of parking areas, development of 35,000 square feet of new commercial /restaurant use on -site, and incorporating a new 70,000 square foot regional library into the improved site. • Deering Bay Marina - A private boat slip and yacht marina in Miami. Services provided include: landscape architecture for the marina utilizing xeriscape and tropical plant materials for buffering of the roadway adjacent to the marina. Savanna Model Showcases - Design of two award - winning model home areas forArvida's model units within their last phase of residential development in Weston. The projects were unique in their design as a park -like setting that maximizes the pedestrian experience. Design elements include meandering paver walkways, specialty light fixtures and furnishings, tot lots, gazebos and landscaping.
