I_1 �I scope, the budget and the timeline. The leader defines the various elements of the projects and describes the quality control /quality assurance requirements at this meeting. The team leader periodically reviews the progress of the project to assure meeting the project time and budget as initially defined and updates the client of the progress. At Calvin, Giordano and Associates, Inc. "Project Management" is an organi- zational approach to the management of all our ongoing operation. Our project management teams apply their knowledge, skills, tools and techniques in order to meet the requirements of a particular project. Construction Cost Estimating Our firm has extensive experience in providing operation and construction management services for municipal projects. Our seven construction inspectors have all spent an average of 35 years in the construction industry. Many of our inspectors have obtained Florida Department of Transportation certifications and their General Contractor's licenses. Our engineering staff has extensive utility operation and construction experience and can review and make recommen- dations on contractor pay requests. Our construction services department is able to assist in preparing contract documents, bidding a project, selecting the lowest responsive responsible bidder, observing a project during construction for design compliance, and successfully closing out the project. For our infrastructure projects, we prepare cost estimates for out clients. Our construction cost estimates are based on costs that our firm has available in a database. This database was created by our office and is updated regularly to reflect the current construction costs of each item on any given project. The database covers everything from manhole rings to large pumps for water and wastewater. We have found that our cost estimates are in -line with the current industry standards, so we are able to give our clients a real anticipated cost of the project. Public Works Permitting and Inspections Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. has the ability to span the entire engineering process from short term to long term planning, through extensive permitting procedures to design and construction. The firm has proven its ability to develop technical strategies for local, state, and federal permit approvals, including reac- tion to the significant requirements of environmental permitting of waters and wetlands in the State of Florida.
