GIORDANO 6 ASSOCIATES, INC.
ENGINEERS SURVEYORS PLANNERS
GIANNO ANTONIO FEOLI
Landscape Designer
Mr. Feoli is a landscape designer who recently
graduated from Florida International University's (FIU)
School of Architecture with a Master's degree in
Landscape Architecture. As a result of the graduate
program's focus and his undergraduate training as an
architect, his specialties cover those affecting the con-
texts of urban design, contextual analysis, design of
urban environments, site design, and architectural
design.
EDUCATION
Master of Landscape Architecture, 2002
Florida International University, School of Architecture,
Miami, Florida 33199
Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Studies, 1999
Florida International University, School of Architecture,
Miami, Florida 33199
PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS
American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA)
QUALIFICATIONS
Mr. Feoli is a Landscape Designer who has recently
completed his Master's degree in Landscape
Architecture from Florida International University's
School of Architecture (FIU -SOA). At FIU -SOA, he
held many leadership positions, including the Search
and Screen Committee for a new Dean for the SOA
and interviewed such notable and prestigious archi-
tects of international significance for candidacy as
Enrique Norten and Miguel Angel Rocas. He also held
the office of President of the American Society of
Landscape Architects (ASLA) — Student Chapter for
two consecutive years and continually supported both
the Miami and Broward Sections of the Florida Chapter
of the ASLA.
Mr. Feoli has contributed his talents and expertise and
gained considerable experience on several pro -bono,
civic - minded community service projects. Most
notably, his participation in the Little Haiti Park
Charrette in 2001, organized by the Miami Chapter of
the ASLA for Miami City Commissioner Arthur Teele,
earned him a Commendation from the City of Miami.
Similarly, his participation and contribution in the
Virginia Key Charrette earned FIU -SOA an award of
Excellence from the Florida Chapter of the ASLA at the
2002 Annual Conference. The FIU -SOA proposal
earned its award as a result of the projects impetus for
stimulating and creating a regional significance for
Virginia Key through the establishment of a county-
wide trail system with the Historic Virginia Key Black
Beach at its core. Other urban - related, pro -bono
experience Mr. Feoli has participated in include an urban,
city -park redevelopment master plan for the City of Collin, in
the Republic of Panama, and his participation and role as
team presenter in the Bicentennial Park Charrette held for
Bicentennial Park, Miami.
Mr. Feoli was the recipient of an Award of Excellence (first
prize in the Landscape /Urban Design category) for his urban
design proposal for the Urban Redevelopment of the 79"'
Street corridor between the Little River and Biscayne
Boulevard in Miami. City of Miami Commissioner Johnny
Winton, along with other community leaders and officials,
were involved in the visioning and election process to
determine the best projects. Mr. Feoli's design proposal
focused on the needs and establishment of walkable,
community- oriented social centers with a mixed -use zoning
overlay district and its agenda to preserve the urban styles
of the Miami Moderne (MiMo) architectural vocabulary,
characteristic and descriptive of its quality and sense of
place.
Most recently, Mr. Feoli studied and prepared the Florida
East Coast Railway (FEC) Streetscape Assessment for the
FEC Corridor Strategic Redevelopment Plan for the City of
Miami. His participation contributed in realizing the task
force's mission to identify and facilitate redevelopment
opportunities within the corridor; stimulating and safe-
guarding existing zoning and land uses; ensuring compatible
land use buffers; improving transportation accessibility; and
enhancing employment opportunities for city residents as
well as the overall economic impact on the city, all within the
context of creating and preserving a livable community.
PROJECT EXPERIENCE:
Landscape Designer
Mr. Feoli assists Landscape Architects and Planners in the
preparation of design recommendations, site design, site
layout, planting designs, construction documents, and
construction administration.
Graphic Designer
Mr. Feoli assists the Planning and Landscape Architecture
Departments with illustrative graphics of design
documentations, design solutions, proposals, and marketing
components. In addition, Mr. Feoli acts as artistic director
for all landscape - related deliverables.
