Upon completion of the work specified herein and before acceptance and final payment <br />shall be made, the Contractor shall remove from the site all machinery, equipment, <br />surplus and discarded materials and temporary structures. All disposal of materials, <br />rubbish and debris shall be made a at legal disposal site or by other prior approved <br />manner. Material cleared from the site and deposited on adjacent or nearby property will <br />not be considered as having been disposed of satisfactorily. <br />29. Non - Discrimination in Employment: <br />In accordance with this proposal, the Contractor agrees to make no discrimination <br />because of race, color, creed or national origin with respect to employment or personnel <br />on this project, and that all persons having the experience and skill necessary to perform <br />the work shall be afforded equal opportunity of employment for the work to be performed <br />at the site of this project. <br />30. Conflict of Interest Ordinance: <br />The Contractor agrees to abide and be governed by Miami -Dade County Ordinance No. <br />72 -82 (Conflict of Interest Ordinance), as amended, which is incorporated herein by <br />reference as if fully set forth herein, connection with its contract obligations hereunder. <br />31. Independent Private - Sector Inspector General (IPSIG) <br />The City shall have the right but no the obligation to retain the services of an independent <br />private- sector inspector general (IPSIG) who may be engaged to audit, investigate, <br />monitor, oversee, inspect and review the operations, activities and performance of the <br />Contractor and City in connection with this contract. The scope of services performed by <br />an (IPSIG) my include, but are not limited to, monitoring and investigating compliance <br />with Contract specifications; project costs, and investigating and preventing corruption <br />and fraud. <br />The IPSIG may perform its services at all levels of the contracting and procurement <br />process including but not limited to project design, establishment of bid specifications, <br />bid submittals, activities of the Contractor, its officers, agents and employees, lobbyists, <br />city staff and elected officials. <br />Upon (10) ten days written notice to the Contractor from an IPSIG, the Contractor shall <br />make all requested records and documents availabje to the IPSIG for inspection and <br />copying. The IPSIG shall have the right to examine all documents and records in the <br />Contractor's possession, custody or control, which in the IPSIG's sole judgment pertain <br />to performance of the Contract, including but not limited to original estimates files, bid <br />and change order estimates, worksheets proposals and agreements from and with <br />successful and unsuccessful subcontractors and supplies, all project - related <br />correspondence, memoranda instructions, financial documents, construction documents, <br />bid and contract documents, back - charge documents, all documents and records which <br />involve cash, trade or volume discounts, insurance proceeds, rebates, or dividends <br />received, payroll and personnel records, and supporting documentation for the aforesaid <br />documents and records. <br />General Specifications Page 15 of 16 <br />
