1.04 CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br />A. Cooperate with laboratory personnel, and provide access to Work and <br />' pay for testing. <br />B. Secure and deliver to the laboratory adequate quantities of <br />representational samples of materials proposed to be used and which <br />require testing. <br />1 09/03 01410 -2 03- 4138.A -R <br />C. <br />Provide to the laboratory the preliminary design mix proposed to be <br />' <br />used for concrete, and other materials mixes which require control by <br />the testing laboratory. <br />D. <br />Materials and equipment used in the performance of work under this <br />Contract are subject to inspection and testing at the point of <br />manufacture or fabrication. Standard specifications for quality and <br />workmanship are indicated in the Contract Documents. The Engineer <br />may require the Contractor to provide statements or certificates from <br />the manufacturers and fabricators that the materials and equipment <br />provided by them are manufactured or fabricated in full accordance <br />with the standard specifications for quality and workmanship indicated <br />in the Contractor Documents. All costs of this testing and providing <br />statements and certificates shall be a subsidiary obligation of the <br />Contractor, and no extra charge to the Owner shall be allowed on <br />account of such testing and certification. <br />E. <br />Furnish incidental labor and facilities: <br />1. To provide access to Work to be tested <br />2. To obtain and handle samples at the Project site or at the <br />source of the product to be tested <br />3. To facilitate inspections and tests <br />4. For storage and curing of test samples <br />F. <br />Notify laboratory sufficiently in advance of operations to allow for <br />laboratory assignment of personnel and scheduling of tests. <br />G. <br />Employ and pay for the services of the same or a separate, equally <br />qualified independent testing laboratory to perform additional <br />inspections, sampling and testing required for the Contractor's <br />convenience. <br />H. <br />Provide the Engineer with a copy of all test and reports. <br />1 09/03 01410 -2 03- 4138.A -R <br />
