SECTION 00800 <br />SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS <br />The following supplements modify, change from or add to the Standard General Conditions of <br />the Construction Contract, EJCDC Document 1910 -8, 1996 Edition. Where any Article of the <br />General Conditions is modified or any Paragraph, Subparagraph or Clause thereof is modified <br />or deleted by these supplements, the unaltered provisions shall remain in effect. <br />ARTICLE 1 - DEFINITIONS AND TERMINOLOGY <br />Add the following sentence to 1.28 Notice of Award: "When requested by OWNER, the Notice <br />of Award may be issued by the ENGINEER." <br />Add the following sentence to 1.29 Notice to Proceed: "When requested by OWNER, the Notice <br />to Proceed may be issued by ENGINEER." <br />Add the following terms after Paragraph 1.50: <br />1.51 ARCHITECT /ENGINEER - The person, firm or corporation named as the ENGINEER in <br />the Agreement. <br />1.52 Provide - As used in the Project Manual, means to furnish and install, complete and ready <br />for intended use. <br />1.53 Product - As used in the Project Manual, includes materials, fabrications, systems and <br />equipment. <br />1.54 Project Manual - The volume of written construction documents, including the Bidding <br />Documents, sample forms, and the Contract Documents, such as the Conditions of the Contract <br />and the Specifications. <br />ARTICLE 2 - PRELIMINARY MATTERS <br />Add the following to Paragraph 2.01.: "If the Work is to be commenced prior to execution of the <br />Agreement in response to a letter of intent, CONTRACTOR shall, prior to commencement of the <br />Work, submit evidence satisfactory to OWNER that such bonds will be furnished." <br />In the first line of Paragraph 2.02., change the term "...ten..." to read "...six... ". <br />Delete Paragraph 2.03. and replace with the following: <br />2.03. The date of commencement of the Work is the date established in a Notice to Proceed. If <br />there is no Notice to Proceed, it shall be the date of the OWNER - CONTRACTOR Agreement or <br />such other date as may be established therein. <br />Add the following to Paragraph 2.05.: <br />03/03 00800 -1 03 -4122 <br />
