Category 6 Cabling System City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />Request for Proposal Confidential and Proprietary <br />4 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Responsive bidders are to provide the following: <br />■ Insurance Certificate <br />■ Contractor must have workman's compensation insurance in the state in which work is <br />performed. <br />■ The Contractor should be prepared to furnish surety, performance and completion bonds if <br />required. <br />■ Liability <br />■ Proof of Manufacturers Certification providing City with a minimum 25 years warranty. <br />■ Proof of RCDD Certificate for staffed employee, if applicable <br />■ Proof of personnel trained and certified in design and installation of Category 6 cable plant <br />The Structured Cabling System Shall consist of any one or all of the following Elements: <br />■ Work -Area Cabling <br />• Horizontal Cabling <br />■ Backbone Fiber Optic & Copper Cabling <br />■ System shall be capable of supporting Voice, Data, and Video. <br />■ System shall consist of Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) Cable installed in a star topology. <br />It is the Contractors responsibility to maintain cable lengths under the 295 ft. distance limitation. <br />All terminations shall be required to be warranted by Manufacturer, Contractor shall issue a letter of <br />registration prior to start of project to Customer assuring proposed system is in accordance. <br />Contractor shall have a permanent office within 50 miles of the project & be available for after hours <br />emergency service & repair. <br />Contractor must own all equipment, testers & installation tools required for installation of system. <br />Contractor must perform installation with own manpower, no subcontracting of any portion of this RFP <br />will be accepted or allowed. <br />
