I� <br />1� <br />u <br />Cl <br />[ij <br />Category 6 Cabling System City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />Request for Proposal Confidential and Proprietary <br />6 BALANCED TWISTED -PAIR PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS <br />In addition to meeting the proposed category 6 specifications as outlined in ANSI/TIA/EIA- 568- 13.2 -1, <br />the requirements in this section must also be met for all applicable balanced twisted -pair products as <br />listed below. <br />6.1 OUTLETS <br />All category 6 information outlets designed for termination of 4 -pair balanced twisted -pair category 6 <br />copper cables must possess the following characteristics at the minimum: 8- position modular jacks <br />(RJ -45) utilizing 568 -B wiring Scheme. Outlet Jack module arrangement & quantities are shown on <br />the drawings. Wall outlets will consist of 6 -port faceplates. <br />Approved Product Leviton or equal. <br />6.2 PATCH CORDS <br />Approved Product Leviton or equal. <br />6.3 PATCH PANELS <br />All termination panels shall facilitate cross - connection and inter - connection using modular patch <br />cords and shall conform to EIA standard, 19 inch relay rack mounting requirements. <br />Approved Product Leviton or equal. <br />6.4 CONNECTING BLOCKS <br />The connecting block shall facilitate cross - connection and /or inter - connection using patch cords /cross <br />connects. <br />Approved Product Leviton or equal. <br />6.5 CABLE <br />Belden Mediatwist Bonded twisted pair 1874A <br />
