MAINTAINING SAFE TOOLS AND EQUIPb1ENT <br />All tools and equipment that you use in your day -to -day operations must be inspected for <br />safety before use. <br />• Electrical grounding <br />• Safe power cords (no splices, frays, etc.) <br />• Proper chemical labelling <br />- Proper chemicals for the job <br />- Adequate supplies <br />• Ladders not bent or damaged <br />• Machine covers and guards in place <br />0 • Adequate number of warning signs <br />• Handles on trash containers <br />• Wheels and dollies must roll freely <br />• Right tools for the job; ie. mops, brooms, dustpans, PPE, can liners, etc. <br />SUPERVISORS MUST ENSURE EMPLOYEES ARE INSTRUCTED /TRAINED ON THE <br />ABOVE AND DOCUMENTED ON THE TRAINING CHECKLIST. <br />9 <br />
