TRAINING PROCEDURES: <br />• Read and discuss with employees <br />MATERIALS SAFETY <br />Pour and use solvents in well - ventilated places. Do not use gasoline for cleaning anything. <br />Replace the cap on all solvent containers after each use. <br />2. If any liquid gets in your eyes, even just dirty water, flood the eyes with plenty of tap <br />water immediately. If a chemical gets in your eyes, flush eyes for 15 minutes. <br />3. Keep the protective equipment which you have recieved clean and in good condition and <br />wear it whenever it is needed. Turn in damaged or worn PPE. This includes face shields, <br />goggles, hoods, gloves, aprons, respirators, etc. <br />4. Use safety shoes when moving drums, working with heavy equipment, or in areas where <br />objects might fall. <br />5. Flammable materials must be stored in accordance with fire regulations. Always store <br />flammables in a U.L. Approved metal container if inside building storage is necessary. • <br />6. Where strong chemicals are used, keep the skin covered for protection against chemical <br />irritation. <br />T Avoid the hazards of broken glass by using materials in plastic containers whenever <br />possible. <br />S. Proper, and safe, storage facilities should be provided. It should not be necessary to lift <br />heavy loads, stack materials too high, etc. <br />9.
