ICITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH ' PARKSIMEDIANS /RIGHT -OF -WAY MAINTENANCE SPECIFICATIONS A. SCOPE OF WORK Bid No. 01 -09 -01 Page No. 17 1. The work includes, but may not be limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery and services for proper maintenance which for the purposes of this bid, shall include litter, trash and debris removal (including, but not limited to, small items such as ' paper, cans, bottles, and dead animals), mowing, edging, hedge trimming, selective tree trimming, raking, sweeping, weeding, weedeating, and irrigation system repair. B. LOCATIONS OF WORK 1. Accompanying this specification is an area map listing area sites which are categorized by parks, medians, right -of -ways, easements, and swales. By submitting a bid, the bidder certifies that he /she is familiar with the sites and the proposed scope of work, prior to submitting a bid. The City reserves the right to remove specific locations on a temporary or permanent basis, as deemed ' appropriate. The City also reserves the right to award the locations to multiple bidders to attain the best possible service and price. C. EQUIPMENT 1. All equipment shall be maintained in an efficient and safe operating condition while performing work under the contract. Equipment shall have all proper safety devices required by law, properly maintained and in use at all times. If equipment does not contain proper safety devices and/or is being operated in an unsafe manner, the City may direct the contractor to remove such equipment and/or the operator until the deficiency is corrected to the satisfaction of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The contractor shall be solely responsible and liable for injury to persons, and/or property damage caused by operation of the equipment. All equipment will be inspected and evaluated by the City of Sunny Isles Beach, prior to award of this bid. A. Special equipment required (in addition to Standard Maintenance Equipment). 1. The contractor must own the following equipment: * One hydraulic bucket -truck with a reach capacity of no less than 50 feet * One brush chipper.
