n <br />U <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />Bid No. 01 -09 -01 <br />Page No. 22 <br />PARKS/MEDIANS/RIGHT-OF-WAY MAINTENANCE <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR EXISTING CONVENTIONAL IRRIGATION SYSTEMS <br />WITHIN PROJECT LIMITS <br />1. The Contractor is to familiarize himself with the existing irrigation systems and is <br />responsible for the repair of all components to insure a continually efficient irrigation system. <br />This includes the adjustment of the controllers to insure the correct amount of precipitation <br />necessary for viable vegetative growth. <br />K. IRRIGATION REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR <br />1. The contractor, at his expense, will be responsible for the repair of all existing irrigation <br />components. The wholesale cost of parts only will be borne by the City, with proper <br />documentation and approval by the Citys' Public Works Department. <br />L. DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />1. Deliver fertilizer materials in original, unopened, and undamaged containers showing weight, <br />analysis, and name of manufacturer. Store in manner to prevent wetting and deterioration. <br />M. MATERIALS <br />1. Fertilizer and insect/disease control materials (all rates as established by accepted <br />1 horticultural standards, manufacturer's recommendations, and as approved by Citys" Landscape <br />Architect). <br />aA. <br />Lawn (except athletic field Bermuda turf for passive park) <br />1. February - Apply granular 20 -0 -20 with Atrazine. <br />2. May - Apply liquid 16 -4 -8 with micro - nutrients and Pyrethrin insect <br />control. <br />3. September - Apply liquid 16 -4 -8 with micro- nutrients and Pyrethin insect <br />control. <br />4. December - Apply granular 20 -0 -10 with Atrazine. <br />� I <br />
