CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />Bid No. 01 -09 -01 <br />Page No. 29 <br />PARKS/MEDIANS/RIGHT -OF- WAY MAINTENANCE <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />I. When Bougainvillea is out of bloom, immediately begin "tip- back" light pruning. <br />4. Weeding <br />A. Hand pull weeds, or use herbicide where feasible, in shrub and ground cover areas, <br />as needed to maintain a clean appearance. <br />5. Clean -up <br />A. Clean all walks, drives, roads, and pedestrian areas, to be free of grass cuttings, trash, <br />and debris. <br />B. Remove all excess soil, trimmings, debris, and equipment from site after each visit. <br />C. All debris removed from the City of Sunny Isles Beach is to be disposed of at an <br />EPA and State of Florida approved dumping site, at Contractor's expense. <br />D. Empty and dispose of contents of all trash containers on a daily basis. Contractor is <br />responsible for disposal of all trash in accordance with all Federal, State, and local <br />regulations. <br />S. ATHLETIC FIELD MAINTENANCE (PASSIVE PARK) <br />1. Required Equipment: <br />A. A minimum of one self propelled, greens type Tri -Plex mower, or equal, suitable <br />for Bermuda turf athletic field maintenance. Steel wheeled and "pull behind" reel <br />mowers are prohibited. Reels /and or blades shall be kept sharp at all times by <br />proper back - lapping methods as determined by the City. <br />B. All of the special equipment is subject to inspection and approval from the City <br />of Sunny Isles Beach prior to award contract. <br />C. Contractor shall keep all equipment maintained in proper working order at all <br />times. Failure of contractor to properly maintain and keep equipment in working <br />order at all times may result in revocation of contract. <br />
