including, but not restricted to those bearing upon transportation and traffic maintenance; disposal, <br />handling and storage of materials; access roads to the site; the conformation and conditions of the <br />I work area; and the character of equipment and facilities needed preliminary to and during the <br />performance of the work. <br />Failure on the part of the Contractor to completely or properly evaluate any factors of costs prior to <br />bidding shall not form a basis for additional compensation if he is awarded the Contract. <br />10. Performance of Work: <br />Section 5 -8.2 - CONTRACTOR'S SUPERINTENDENT: This sub article is expanded to include the <br />following: <br />The Contractor will furnish a qualified superintendent who will be present at all times during the <br />course of the work, and shall be authorized to act for the Contractor. The Contractor shall keep on the <br />job sufficient personnel, and equipment to meet the requirements of the work. <br />The plant and equipment shall be kept in a satisfactory operating condition and capable of safely and <br />1 efficiently performing the work as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. The equipment and all <br />operations shall be subject to inspection by the Engineer at all times. The Contractor shall submit for <br />approval by the Engineer a description of the type of materials and equipment to be used; and the <br />method of procedure to be used in the performance of the work. <br />11. Restoration of Property: <br />Section 7 -11.1- PRESERVATION OF PROPERTY: This sub article is expanded to include: <br />Property public or private if damaged during construction or removed for the convenience of the <br />work, shall be repaired or replaced at the expense of the Contractor in a manner acceptable to the <br />Engineer, prior to the final acceptance of the work. Such facilities shall include, but are not limited <br />1 to: signalization equipment and miscellaneous hardware removed from the construction site, <br />driveways, walls, fences, footings or underground utilities. This section also includes the reposition <br />of damage to streets beyond the normal trench excavation, pavement milling and utility relocation <br />(when applicable). Reposition of pavement at trench excavation shall be included in storm sewer <br />construction unit price. <br />Note: All street name signs and mail boxes shall remain in place during the period of construction <br />' except those that are required to be relocated due to interference with the actual construction. All <br />signs or mail boxes that are relocated or damaged by the Contractor during the course of the work <br />shall be re- installed or replaced at the proper location, as soon as possible at the Contractor's cost. <br />Prior to the removal of any traffic control signs that interfere with the construction, the Contractor <br />shall provide temporary signing or other provisions to assure a continuous flow of traffic under at <br />1 least the same conditions as previously existed. All signs that are found to be unserviceable shall be <br />reported to the City of Sunny Isles Beach Director of Public Works. <br />12. Utilities: <br />Section 7 -11.6 UTILITIES: This sub - article is expanded to include: <br />1 <br />Special Provisions 09/24 Page 3 of 16 <br />
