Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc.
Firm IMeArrative
We began as M.E. Berry & Associates in 1937 and became Berry & Calvin in
1985. Twelve years later, the transformation was made to Calvin, Giordano &
Associates, Inc. (CGA). From the beginning, much of our reputation was built
on repeat business with clients from the public and private sectors. Our success
is reflected in the quality of work we consistently provide and also in the
personal approach we take with each client. The winning combination is
affirmed by the fact that CGA grew steadily during an economy that was not
only challenging but also daunting to many larger firms in Florida these past
few years. We focus on adding professionals and technology that address the
needs of our South Florida customers instead of simply adding new branch
office addresses.
Drive, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33316, will be responsible for this project. Our
main operations are housed in this office; although in 1993, we opened an office
in West Palm Beach to better serve our growing client base north of Broward
County and in 2004 and 2005, we opened an office in Homestead and Fort
Pierce. Today, our firm employs over 165 professionals that provide a broad
range of planning, civil engineering, transportation/traffic engineering,
surveying, permitting, environmental specialty services, landscape architecture,
data technology (including Geographic Information Systems), and construction
services. The newest element of CGA is an Indoor Air Quality division, a
breakthrough service, particularly for clients who are in the midst of renovation
or have health concerns in commercial or residential properties.
US i The firm's municipal experience in South Florida is enviable as we currently or
previously served as consultants to many municipalities including Sunny Isles
Pines, Miramar, Hollywood, Davie, Dania Beach, North Miami Beach, Islamorada, West Palm Beach,
Riviera Beach, Lake Park, Lantana, and Marathon. We provide consulting engineering to the Community
Development Districts of Indian Trace, Maple Ridge, and Griffin Lakes. CGA also serves as district
consulting engineer to the South Broward Drainage District and the South Broward Hospital District. CGA
has contracts with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Districts N and VI as well as Florida
Power and Light (FPL.)
In the 22 years that we have provided municipal engineering services, we have been retained by many clients
for 10 years or longer. We feel our retention rate is because our team is always committed to providing
personalized attention as well as meeting or exceeding time and budgetary requirements. As a local firm, we
guarantee instant responsiveness during every phase of development or project construction.
