Landscape Architecture and Environmental Departments at Miller Legg has garnered design awards from ASLA, ASCE, FNGS, and FICE. These projects include: the City of Coral Springs' Sandy Ridge Sanctuary, Broward County's 1,500 -acre West Lake Park, the multi - functional Weston Town Center, and the City of Weston's 2000 + -acre Habitat Restoration Project. Miller Legg's experience in the development of active and passive recreation facilities include a diversity of facilities ranging from athletic- oriented regional parks to natural resource - oriented passive parks. Miller Legg is currently working with the City of Sunny Isles Beach on their 181st Drive Active Park. This park integrates many uses on a relatively small site. These include a community center, gym, ball field, and a tot lot in a central courtyard. The Weston Athletic Park is a 102 -acre facility that incorporates fields for soccer /football, baseball /softball, basketball, volleyball, and the world's largest roller hockey facility. Miller Legg was responsible for developing the program for this project through numerous workshops with the associated athletic leagues and other end users for this facility. The City of Pembroke Pines' Wetlands Park is a passive- oriented park that is focused on a nature center and canoe outpost that will provide access into an adjacent 600 -acre freshwater wetland system. Miller Legg is proud of its reputation as a leader in the area of irrigation design. Miller Legg is recognized by its clients, as well as the major manufacturers of irrigation products, as a leader in this field. Miller Legg has direct experience in development and design of large central - controlled irrigation systems throughout the State.
