SECTION 01045 <br />CUTTING AND PATCHING <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 WORK INCLUDED <br />A. Contractor shall be responsible for all cutting, fitting and patching, <br />including attendant excavation and backfill, required to complete the work <br />or to: <br />work. <br />1. Make its several parts fit together properly. <br />2. Uncover portions of the Work to provide for installation of ill -timed <br />3. Remove and replace defective work. <br />4. Remove and replace work not conforming to requirements of <br />Contract Documents. <br />5. Remove samples of installed work as specified for testing. <br />6. Provide routine penetrations of non - structural surfaces for <br />installation of piles, piping, and concrete footings. <br />7. Investigate subsurface conditions or utilities. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK <br />A. Section 01010: Summary of Work <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit a written request to the Engineer well in advance of executing any <br />cutting or alteration that affects- <br />1 . Work of the Owner or any separate contractor. <br />2. Structural value or integrity of any element of the Project. <br />3.
