t <br />06/06 <br />the inspection and approval of the Engineer. No material shall be <br />delivered to the work without prior approval of the Engineer. <br />B. Within 30 days after the effective date of the Agreement, the Contractor <br />shall submit to the Engineer, data relating to materials and equipment he <br />proposes to furnish for the work. Such data shall be in sufficient detail to <br />enable the Engineer to identify the particular product and to form an <br />opinion as to its conformity to the specifications. The data shall comply <br />with Paragraph 1.07 of this Section. <br />C. Facilities and labor for handling and inspection of all materials and <br />equipment shall be furnished by the Contractor. If the Engineer requires, <br />either prior to beginning or during progress of the work, the Contractor <br />shall submit samples of materials for such special tests as may be <br />necessary to demonstrate that they conform to the specifications. Such <br />samples shall be furnished, stored, packed, and shipped as directed at <br />the Contractor's expense. <br />D. The Contractor shall submit data and samples sufficiently early to permit <br />consideration and approval before materials are necessary for <br />incorporation in the work. Any delay of approval resulting from the <br />Contractor's failure to submit samples or data promptly shall not be used <br />as a basis of claim against the Owner or the Engineer. <br />E. In order to demonstrate the proficiency of workmen or to facilitate the <br />choice among several textures, types, finishes, and surfaces, the <br />Contractor shall provide such samples of workmanship or finish as may <br />be required. <br />F. The materials and equipment used on the work shall correspond to the <br />approved samples or other data. <br />MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION <br />A. When Contract Documents require that installation of work shall comply <br />with manufacturer's printed instruction, obtain and distribute copies of <br />such instructions to parties involved in the installation, including copies to <br />the Engineer. <br />1. Maintain one set of complete instructions at the job site during <br />installation and until completion. <br />B. Handle, install, connect, clean, condition and adjust products in strict <br />accord with such instructions and in conformity with specified <br />requirements. <br />01600 -2 <br />034138.0 <br />
