Store fabricated products above the ground on blocking or skids, <br />Cement, sand and lime shall be stored under a roof and off the ground <br />prevent soiling or staining. Brick, block and similar masonry products shall be handled and <br />stored in a manner to reduce breakage, chipping, cracking, and spalling to <br />a minimum. <br />E. <br />Moving parts shall be rotated a minimum of once weekly to insure proper <br />lubrications and to avoid metal -to -metal "welding ". Upon installation of the <br />equipment, the Contractor shall start the equipment, at least half load, <br />once weekly for an adequate period of time to insure that the equipment <br />does not deteriorate from lack of use. <br />F. <br />All materials which, in the opinion of the Engineer, have become so <br />damaged as to be unfit for the use intended or specified shall be promptly <br />removed from the site of the work, and the Contractor shall receive no <br />compensation for the damaged material or its removal. <br />G. <br />Arrange storage in a manner to provide easy access for inspection. Make <br />periodic inspections of stored Products to assure that Products are <br />maintained under specific conditions, and free from damage or <br />deterioration. <br />06/06 01600 -4 03-4138.0 <br />I <br />
