The Contractor shall replace all pavement cut or otherwise damaged <br />during the progress of the work as specified elsewhere herein or as shown <br />on the Drawings. <br />3.08 DISPOSAL OF UNSUITABLE AND SURPLUS MATERIAL <br />A. All surplus and unsuitable excavated material shall be disposed of at the <br />Contractor's cost in one of the following ways as directed by the Engineer. <br />1. Transport to soil storage area on Owner's property and stockpile or <br />spread as directed by the Engineer. <br />2. Transport from Owner's property and legally dispose of. Any <br />permit required for the hauling and disposing of this material <br />beyond Owner's property shall be obtained prior to commencing <br />hauling operations. Copies of all required permits shall be provided <br />to the Engineer. <br />B. Suitable excavated material may be used for fill if it meets the <br />specifications for common fill and is approved by the Engineer. <br />Excavated material so approved may be neatly stockpiled at the site <br />where designated by the Engineer provided there is an area available <br />where it will not interfere with the operation of the facility nor <br />inconvenience traffic or adjoining property owners. <br />END OF SECTION <br />07/06 02221 -13 05 -5564 <br />i <br />E. <br />Grading Outside Athletic Field Lines: Finished grade adjacent to or <br />outside of athletic field shall be restored to original elevations. <br />F. <br />Stones or rock fragments larger than 2 1/2 inches in their greatest <br />dimensions will not be permitted in the top 6 inches of the subgrade line of <br />all fills or embankments. <br />G. <br />All fill slopes shall be uniformly dressed to the slope, cross - section and <br />alignment shown on the Drawings, or as directed by the Engineer. <br />H. <br />In cut, all loose or protruding rocks on the back slopes shall be barred <br />loose or otherwise removed to line or finished grade of slope. All cut and <br />fill slopes shall be uniformly dressed to the slope, cross - section and <br />alignment shown on the Drawings or as specified by the Engineer. <br />I. <br />No grading is to be done in areas where there are existing pipe lines that <br />may be uncovered or damaged until such lines which must be maintained <br />' <br />are relocated, or where lines are to be abandoned, all required valves are <br />closed and drains plugged at manholes. <br />J.
