G. Peg sod on slope ratio of 1 in 3 or greater with minimum of two stakes per <br />square yard. <br />H. Sprinkle sod immediately after transplanting. <br />I. Roll sod, except on pegged areas, with roller weighing no more than 150 <br />lbs. per foot of roller width. <br />J. Water sod and soil to depth of 6 inches within four hours after rolling. <br />K. Top dressing for sodded areas shall be clean sand, mined from fresh <br />water sources. Sand mined from salt water is unacceptable. <br />3.03 LAWN ESTABLISHMENT <br />A. Watering: <br />1. Keep sod moist during first week after planting. <br />2. After first week, supplement rainfall to produce a total of 2 inches <br />per day. <br />3. It is the contractors responsibility to water all plant material. <br />B. Mowing: <br />1. Maintain St. Augustine grass between 2 inches and 2 -1/2 inches in <br />height. When grass reaches 3 inches in height, mow to 2 inches in <br />height. <br />2. Maintain Bermuda grass between 1/2 inches to 3/4 inches in <br />height. Avoid scalping. <br />3. Do not cut off more than 40% of grass leaf in single mowing. <br />4. Remove all grass clippings throughout. <br />C. Resod spots larger than 1 square foot not having uniform stand of grass. <br />D.
