SECTION 02280 <br />SOIL TREATMENT <br />PART 1. GENERAL <br />1.01 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. Work necessary to furnish and install, complete, soil treatment for <br />Formosan termite control. <br />1.02 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Quality Control Submittals as Specified in Section 01340: <br />1. Applicator's compliance affidavit. <br />2. Applicator's written guarantee. <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Soil poisoning shall be done by pest control firm licensed and /or otherwise <br />approved by appropriate federal, state or local health agency. <br />1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver materials in sealed containers, clearly marked with manufacturer's <br />name, brand name, and type of material. <br />B. Store materials in area where manufacturer's recommended temperature <br />ranges are maintained. <br />1.05 GUARANTEE <br />A. Upon completion of soil treatment, firm doing treatment shall furnish to <br />Owner written guarantee providing $10,000 damage replacement clause. <br />B. Guarantee shall be in form of 1 -year written warranty with option to renew <br />yearly for at least 4 additional years and must provide annual reinspections <br />with necessary preventive treatment. Evidence of reinfestation within <br />guarantee period will require retreatment, without cost to Owner. <br />Guarantee shall include Formosan termites. <br />December 2006 02280 -1 06 -5723 <br />
