PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 SOIL POISONING MATERIAL <br />A. Soil Poisoning: Apply one of the following soil poisoning chemicals <br />following the manufacturing instructions to treat soil for both Subterranean <br />and Formosan termites. <br />1. Dursban TC. <br />2. Tribute. <br />3. Cynoff. <br />4. Dragnet. <br />B. Other chemicals may be used, provided: <br />1. They have label approval by appropriate federal, state, or local <br />health agency. <br />2. No toxic effects to humans, beneficial plant, or animal life will result <br />from chemical use. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 TIME OF APPLICATION <br />A. Commence soil poisoning work after preparations for slab placement have <br />been completed. Complete soil poisoning prior to placement of underslab <br />vapor barrier. <br />B. Do not apply soil poison when surface water is present. <br />C. Prevent contact or disturbance of treated areas by humans or animals. <br />3.02 LOCATION <br />A. Apply soil treatment to areas beneath concrete floor slabs on grade or fill, <br />and along interior sides of foundation walls. <br />B. Where exterior is abutted by concrete slabs, asphalt paving, or other <br />permanent surfacing, treat exterior sides of foundation walls as specified for <br />interior sides of such walls. <br />December 2006 02280 -2 06 -5723 <br />
